At the beginning of lockdown I was quite content to work indoors, to take a break and sketch on the sofa. I made smaller pieces that could hang on my walls, that could be easily packaged and posted, that fitted within the much smaller and confined lives we were living.
However, with the incredible summer weather and the amount of time we have spent in the flat, I have been desperate to escape. I know the lockdown is necessary, and am aware of how lucky I am to have a garden and studio to work in, but am so happy to have the partial lifting of the restrictions.
I have taken a couple of pieces of my work out on walks around the parks of Glasgow, allowing my work to escape into the wild (ish).
There will be more to follow!
